There was a time in my life that I wanted to just pick up and move to Canada and live along the rocky shores of Lake Huron. That dream flickers across my mind now and again, when I reflect on the grandeur of the Bruce Peninsula, the drama of Killarney Provincial Park, and the deep dark woods around Bancroft, once a favorite destination for mineral collecting. Ontario was nearby when I lived in Pennsylvania, and it was often my playground.
