When I lived in Pennsylvania, Niagara Falls was only five hours away, making Ontario a viable destination for road trips - especially for mineral collecting and hiking. Over the course of several years, I got to know some of its destinations very well, and one of my favorites is the Bruce Peninsula. Ironically, I first set foot on the Bruce Trail on a province-wide hiking celebration, wondering why the heck so many people were out hiking on a brisk October day!
