As a Florida resident for nearly 20 years, I've accumulated a lot of material in my travels. I started out writing outdoor guides to Florida, penning a total of seven books on Florida hiking and co-authoring an eighth, and moved on to write three travel guides to Florida. As a strong proponent of "sense of place" in travel, I focus on the natural and cultural history of our state, the genuine article that you can't find anywhere else. To showcase specifics of genuine Florida, my husband and I started Genuine Florida, a website, blog, and business focused on the real spirit of the Sunshine State.
